He is the child of Elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the founders of the Assemblies to God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. The LoveWorld ministry includes all members of the family. Reverend Ken, his brother, is the beloved pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church and a member on Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon is following in her father’s tradition of sharing God’s Word with the world. Also known by CSO, she has been an award-winning, talented gospel musician and is a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student at Edo College before winning a scholarship to study architecture at Bendel State University, known in the present as Ambrose Ali University, where he obtained an BSc in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also has an honorary doctorate in divinity awarded by the Benson Idahosa University. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he received a call from God to join the ministry and become a servant to the Lord.

LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian TV station that broadcasts from Africa, 24 hours a day, on air-free networks. There are LoveWorld television stations on cable and satellite networks across the globe.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s home country of Nigeria in addition to South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The ministry has two Healing Schools, based in South Africa and Canada, where Pastor Chris hosts sessions throughout the year where miraculous events are witnessed.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, a fervent charity-minded person who founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation international (COFI), which is a non-profit non-governmental organization that has as its mission to assist those who are most vulnerable as well as communities within the most deprived nations and regions around the globe.

Apart from preaching the gospel message, the Man Of God has also created NGOs that provide vital services and hope for the most vulnerable and neglected. Five partners form part of COFI and are working to improve living standards in the most deprived areas.

COFI is accountable for the InnerCity Mission ICM for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC, Traumacare International Foundation TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) as well as the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups strives to improve the lives and health of those who are most in need.

The charity also provides food for indigent children. Pastor Chris believes in building strong communities by encouraging responsible governance and accountability in leadership.
