Roasting
Lazy Sunday is an easy roast that is easy to taste. It mellows, and turns into warm to your senses. The cocoa influences of Latin America smooth the brew while Africa adds citrus notes to balance. The result is a coffee that can be enjoyed by itself or with cakes, milk chocolate or other sweets. It would also compliment lemon drizzle cakes or vanilla sponges very well.
We recommend using the French Press method to brew this coffee. Preheating your vessel by adding some water that has just boiled will keep it warm. Once brewed leave to steep for 4 minutes, this will ensure that the grounds are saturated and not over extracted. The water should be forced through the grounds by the plunger, but do not stir or agitate the coffee, this can cause unpleasant elements to enter your cup.
Strength – 3 is soft and easygoing, perfect for lazy weekends.
Storage
Lazy Sunday is an aromatic light roast that has the sweet cocoa and citrus aroma. It has a soft, caressing mouthfeel. The cocoa-like hints can be traced to the winter days spent on the sofa, reading a good book with an intimate hug from the family. Pre-heat your French Press by using water that isn’t at the boiling point. This will prevent the coffee from becoming over extracted and creating undesirable elements in the drink. Add your grounds and 250ml water that has just boiled. Steep for four minutes, plunge, and enjoy.
